This week I had the absolute pleasure of going to talk at my old school about careers, my journey and Occupational Therapy.

I thought back to when I was in year 10, hoping to get the grades to get into Occupational Therapy and where it would lead me.

Little did I know it would provide me with the opportunity to travel the world, complete volunteer work and mentoring to fellow OT’S and students for over 35 years.

It was timely as I celebrate 40 years next month of graduating from Occupational Therapy. It has allowed me the privilege of helping thousands of people on their healing journey and I still am totally in love with hand therapy and in awe of the human anatomy especially the hand!

So thanks Saints girls for the opportunity to reflect on my career and the many highs and achievements, I hope I have inspired a few to follow in my footsteps!
