Suzanne has been supervising and mentoring Occupational Therapy students for over 30 years with UniSA and now Adelaide University.
Her role has been to teach and inspire students thinking about pursuing a career in Hand Therapy. This has involved building their skills, demonstrating patient and therapeutic care and warmly encouraging and building their confidence.
While this work provides an opportunity to give back to the industry she loves, it’s also an opportunity for Suzanne to learn from the students, keeping her current and questioning.
A win-win situation, which brings much joy and satisfaction… giving back in honour of Suzanne’s mentors who have given so generously to her, especially Prof. Harold Kleinert (Louisville, Kentucky), Ms Beatrice Lamb (Switzerland) and Prof. Esther May (Adelaide).
